Raphael and Wilson were responsible for completing the script for Bride Wars, from a draft Greg DePaul; they declared the Hollywood writers’ strike of 2007-2008. Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith also contributed.
The story, at first, is located in New York, requiring that the production had to shoot some of the exterior shots in the newly renovated Plaza Hotel, as well as Central Park, Bloomingdale’s and the Fifth Avenue. The rest of the action, however, preferred to shoot in Boston, where he used the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel in the city as his equal in Manhattan.
Regarding the costumes for the film is important to note, especially, the participation of the renowned designer Vera Wang at the time of making the wedding dresses of the stars. Two dresses also be developed taking into account the completely different character of each character. Check Interesting characters of ukraine girl
Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Liv (Kate Hudson) have always been very good friends (of those who rely on everything, good and bad) and, since childhood, has dreamed of getting married in June at the Plaza Hotel New York. An illusion that they will be able to share and plan together and that their requests for hand come with little time difference and their wedding will be the same weekend. A clerical error, however, cracks this happiness: weddings have been booked for the same day and one of the two will have to change the date. Without being willing to give up his dream, he begins a spiral of competition between Liv and Emma to get a reservation at the Hotel Plaza. Using all weapons at their intended scope ruin any chance that the other is left with the prize. Tattered wedding dress, hair dyed blue, brown and orange excessive…. anything goes. It is clear therefore that it has declared a war, if only for once, a War Bride.
